Huge Screensnaps From YouTube VR Videos

Some of these are huge.

Note that due to the hinky way WordPress processes bulk image uploads, these do not generally appear in the order of the original videos.

These first ones are from the 4K YouTube video mentioned in this post: YouTube Video Shot With The Insta360 Camera.

These screensnaps were done on an iMac at an Apple Store. The iMac in question had a 5K screen.

That means there won’t be a pixel-for-pixel match. But given the way YouTube processes videos, that probably doesn’t matter and might be even impossible to get.

In the meantime, these give a good indication of the camera’s quality, although it has to be said shooting something in overcast skies isn’t really optimum.

Keep in mind these are flat images. Desktop Safari won’t do 360-video. Even so, worth a look. Click on each for the full-size massive image.

These next snaps are from Sam Macaroni’s latest video, Junkbots. The highest resolution available for it on YouTube is 1080p — specifically, 1080s60:

These next snaps were done on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, which can do spherical video when using the YouTube app. Results using Chrome are unpredictable.

And from Junkbots:

These first ones are flat, via Chrome:

These are 360-degree via the YouTube app:
